I recently met these amazing people for their Family Photography session on a lovely Melbourne afternoon. Mum also brought her two sisters along to capture their extended family along with photos of young Ryan. I love working with families to capture photos that are both beautiful and unique to you and your family.
First, we started by making our way down to this large clearing which I love for its longer grasses and rustic trees. Ryan loved looking around and exploring his surroundings. I love working outdoors as it allows children to be themselves and explore while I continue to snap away and capture them more naturally.
Next, we took the opportunity for some photos with both mum and dad individually. Squishy cuddles with mum and dad are the best!
With young children and their attention spans, we never do the same thing for long! Next, we decided on piggyback rides which Ryan seemed to enjoy while showing off his cheeky grin!
More natural photos with dad, Ryan loved pinching Dad’s cheeks… poor dad!!!
I love the fact that mum took this opportunity to include her sisters in these images. It is your session and your time and we are more than happy to cover extended families in your session too!! As we get older, we tend to not have professional portraits taken with our siblings and parents anymore. But these photos are just as important and how cherished I know they will be.
Ryans mum and dad brought along some things they enjoy doing together such as reading books and playing ball. We captured some beautiful images of mum and dad sitting on a blanket along with Ryan reading just as they do at home. Ryan loved looking at the pictures in the book and pointing at what interested in most. The thing that Ryan seemed to find most exciting of all though was sticks! And where we were there were PLENTY of them. Dad was great at hunting down the biggest stick of all which Ryan was so excited about. You can see his look of excitement in the below photos.
Next, we moved to our next location near these beautiful old horse carriages. These always make a beautiful backdrop to contrast with the forest images.
Ryan was super excited to have a closer look at the carriage and dad even placed him at the top of the wheel. Dad was close by camera right.
It was a wonderful Melbourne afternoon and really enjoyed capturing this amazing family for their Family Photography session. Thank you so much for choosing me and allowing me to spend this time with your family!
